Scrambled Tofu with SFG Gut Supplement

A savory, spicy tofu dish with a quiet routine folded in.

Some meals are quick by nature, but still leave an impression. This scrambled tofu takes its lead from heat and texture—soft curds, crispy edges, and a light coating of chilli oil. You don’t need much to make it work. A few minutes in the pan, a pinch of seasoning, and it’s ready.

Once cooled slightly, it also offers a smooth moment to add your SFG Gut Supplement—one small step at the end of a very simple dish.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 1 block (around 350–400g) firm tofu
  • 1½ tablespoons chilli oil (adjust to taste)
  • 1 small shallot or red onion, finely chopped
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric (optional)
  • A few chopped fresh herbs (parsley or coriander work well)
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 scoop SFG Gut Supplement (½ scoop per serving, stirred in after cooking)

Method

  1. Prep the tofu
    Pat the tofu dry and break it into uneven bite-sized pieces using your hands. Set aside.
  2. Sauté the base
    Heat the chilli oil in a non-stick pan over medium. Add the chopped shallot and cook until soft. Stir in the garlic and cook for a few seconds more.
  3. Add the tofu
    Toss in the crumbled tofu. Let it sit for a minute or two before stirring, so it crisps slightly at the edges. Add turmeric if using and season with salt. Cook for another 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Turn off the heat and cool slightly
    Remove from heat. Add the fresh herbs. Let the mixture cool down until warm but no longer steaming.
  5. Stir in your SFG scoop
    Once cooled to a safe temperature, gently fold ½ scoop of SFG Gut Supplement into each serving.

Tip: Avoid adding the supplement while the food is still hot. A warm dish allows it to blend in naturally.

This tofu scramble is flexible. Serve it over toast, spoon it into wraps, or eat it alongside sautéed greens or rice. The mix of spice, crispness, and warmth makes it a comforting choice for any time of day.
