Comfort food doesn’t have to compromise your wellness goals. In fact, with a few thoughtful ingredients—and one powerful scoop of gut support—you can transform your favorite pasta dish into a nourishing, microbiome-loving meal.

Why Add a Gut Supplement to a Savory Meal?

Most of us think about supplements in the morning or as part of a smoothie routine—but they can fit beautifully into your regular meals too. Our Gut Supplement contains a synergistic blend of:

  • Prebiotics to feed beneficial gut bacteria
  • Probiotics to support microbial diversity
  • Digestive enzymes to aid in nutrient breakdown and absorption

This trio works best when taken with food—especially meals rich in fiber and whole ingredients.

Today, we’re sharing how to elevate a high-protein rigatoni with the addition of the SFG Biome Gut Supplement. Whether you are focused on digestion, energy, or overall gut balance, this simple upgrade turns your everyday dinner into a functional feast.

What You’ll Need

For the rigatoni:

  • 200g rigatoni (whole grain or lentil-based pasta for extra fiber)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 medium zucchini, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (400g) chopped tomatoes
  • 1 can (400g) cannellini beans, drained and rinsed
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Handful of fresh basil, torn
  • Grated parmesan or nutritional yeast (optional)

For the gut-supportive finish:

  • 1 scoop SFG Gut Supplement per serving

How to Make It

Step 1: Cook the pasta

Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add rigatoni and cook according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Step 2: Make the sauce

Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and sauté for 3–4 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic, oregano, and chili flakes. Add zucchini and bell pepper, cooking for 5–6 minutes until tender.

Step 3: Add tomatoes and beans

Pour in the chopped tomatoes and add the cannellini beans. Simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in fresh basil and remove from heat.

Step 4: Combine pasta and sauce

Add cooked pasta to the pan and toss well to coat. Allow to cool slightly.

Step 5: Add the gut supplement

Once the dish is warm (not hot), stir in 1 scoop of SFG Gut Supplement per serving. Mix thoroughly.

Note: To preserve the live probiotics and enzymes in the SFG Gut Supplement, do not add while the food is piping hot.

Step 6: Serve and enjoy

Top with a sprinkle of parmesan or nutritional yeast if desired. Serve warm.

Does It Affect the Taste?

Not at all. The supplement has a neutral taste and fine texture, so it won’t alter the flavor or mouthfeel of your pasta. You’ll hardly notice it’s there—except for the support it offers your gut from the inside out.

Why This Meal + Supplement Combo Works

This pairing is more than just convenient—it’s effective. A balanced meal rich in protein, fiber, and healthy fats helps your body absorb nutrients and maintain steady energy. Add in a scoop of SFG Biome Gut Supplement, and you are also:

  • Encouraging a diverse and balanced gut microbiome
  • Supporting smoother digestion and regularity
  • Giving your body the tools it needs to thrive daily

Make It a Habit, Not a Hassle

Adding gut health support to your meals doesn’t have to mean big changes. It’s as easy as stirring in a scoop before dinner. Whether you are eating alone, cooking for your family, or prepping lunches for the week—this small addition can lead to big benefits over time.

Your Daily Gut Boost Starts Here
